Under the direction of the publisher (Blackall Newspaper Group Inc.) you will become The Barcoo Independent's driving force. Your duties will include all aspects of newsgathering, including interviewing, writing stories and photographing.  You will also be responsible for the layout of the newspaper, sourcing advertising and managing the weekly printing, distribution and subscription.  Experience using InDesign and Photoshop is highly advantageous, as well as Facebook and the ability to update and maintain the paper's website on a weekly basis.
