ABOUT THE ROLE
Deliver advanced clinical care and nursing leadership to enhance patient outcomes and support service improvement.
The Community Clinical Nurse is required to support the Barcaldine Multipurpose Health Service (MPHS) in providing advanced level of clinical services to the Community & Commonwealth Home Support Programme (CHSP). Must be able to apply advanced, comprehensive knowledge and skills in community care, aged care and whilst providing education and development of staff, portfolio management and demonstrate the following:
· Practices autonomously
· Provides leadership in clinical decision making to give and/or coordinate care to recipients of healthcare services.
· Applies critical thinking across all the domains.
This position supports the Clinical Nurse Consultant & Community Home Coordinator in the provision of leadership and direction to nursing staff, direct care workers and utilises data and information to ensure that the service is organised for safety, and measures are in place to capture the standard of service delivery.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
Mandatory:
· Proof of qualification in Nursing and registration within the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as a Registered Nurse. Certified copies of the required information must be provided to the appropriate supervisor/manager prior to the commencement of employment.
Highly Desirable:
· Whilst not mandatory, relevant degree and/or qualification in the areas of Community/Aged Care Nursing, Immunisation & Wound management would be well regarded.
